Hello, and welcome to Enjoy Your Life. Today, I’ll be sharing my personal experience flying Korean Air’s A380 Business Class from Seoul/Incheon to Los Angeles.
Flight: KE11
Aircraft Type: Airbus A380-800
Flight Duration: 11H 10M
Seat: Prestige Sleeper
Korean Air A380 Business Class, Seoul/Incheon to Los Angeles
The A380 is the largest aircraft in existence, and it is truly huge. However, if you were traveling alone, you might feel a bit uncomfortable sitting next to someone without much personal space.
Later, I’ll review Korean Air B777-300ER Business Class seats, flying from Chicago to Incheon. On the B777-300ER, the seats are arranged in a zigzag pattern, and the partitions can be raised. If you travel alone and value personal space, you might prefer the B777-300ER Business Class seats.
The A380 Business Class seats can recline fully to 180 degrees, which is comfortable enough. However, I think the screen is relatively small.
Business Class also provides blankets, amenity pouches, and slippers. I had champagne as a welcome drink. Headphones are provided as well, but they must be returned at the end of the flight. The menu is available in both Korean and English.
One of the biggest advantages of Korean Air’s A380 Business and First Class is the separate in-flight bar lounge. The picture below shows the area where passengers can prepare and enjoy alcoholic beverages. The bar offers a variety of drinks, including wine, beer, and cocktails, so you can order whatever you like.
As for the food, the soup was delicious. However, none of the steaks I tried were particularly impressive—they were just okay, as I expected. There is also a Chinese-style dongpa meat dish. For dessert, there’s a selection of cheese, ice cream, and fruit. You can even choose the ice cream flavor.
The in-flight bar lounge has its own menu, and you can order the cocktail of your choice.
I ordered ramen and cocktails for dessert, and they were very delicious. I also enjoyed a satisfying breakfast.
Business Class in-flight meals departing from Incheon can be booked in advance, giving you access to a wider range of options. However, for flights from LAX to Incheon, advance meal reservations are not available, so please keep this in mind.

Let's watch a short video of how the food is served.
KAL Premium Arrival Shower Service
Grand Hyatt Incheon
The KAL Premium Arrival Shower service is a great way to refresh after arriving in Korea. While most travelers heading straight to their home or hotel may not use it, it is an excellent service for anyone who wants to freshen up after a long flight.
The sauna provides body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. A free round-trip shuttle, operated by the hotel between the airport and the hotel, runs every 30 minutes. Additionally, airport buses are available every 10 minutes at no cost, so this is convenient for travelers.
The sauna facility is located on the second floor of the Grand Hyatt Incheon West Tower. Access is granted upon showing your Business or First Class arrival ticket. For Korean Air passengers, flights land at Terminal 2, while the hotel is near Terminal 1, so it’s a short distance from Terminal 2. Despite this, the sauna facilities are very comfortable, and visiting the five-star hotel sauna was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Summary: I was very satisfied with the Korean Air A380 Business Class service. It is evident that Korean Air has invested significant care and attention into the overall experience. However, if you are traveling alone and prefer privacy, you may find the lack of partitions a drawback. I personally love the sauna, so I highly recommend trying it at least once. Overall, I would rate this experience four out of five.
Have a great day.
