[Top 7 Must-Try Restaurants in Busan] Geodae Galbi (Old Place) & Sea House & Waveon Coffee & HeunMaru & Park Hyatt Pusan Dining Room & Haeundae Gaya Wheat Noodles & Haeundae Beef Ribs House
Hello, this is Enjoy Your Life. Today, I’d like to share my restaurant picks in Busan: Geodae Galbi (Old Place), Sea House, Waveon Coffee, HeunMaru, Park Hyatt Busan Dining Room, Haeundae Gaya Wheat Noodles, and Haeundae Beef Ribs House.
Geodae Galbi (Old Place)
Address: 22 Dalmaji-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan
Phone#: 82-51-746-0037
Parking: Free
I visited Geodae Galbi at its original location. There’s also a newer building nearby, but the menus differ slightly, so please keep that in mind. It’s said that the new location is more popular with young couples, while the original one is frequented mostly by families.
Geodae Galbi
When I arrived at the restaurant, I noticed many construction sites nearby, which made the atmosphere a bit unpleasant. It was also a shame that the parking space was quite limited.
Once seated, the side dishes were served. Everything was neat, fresh, and delicious.
Then I started grilling the meat. It was so good that I ended up eating a lot that day. The meat in the bowl was jangjorim, which was also excellent. I even grilled some kimchi on the plate, and it turned out fantastic.
Summary: The food was so delicious that I found it flawless. It was especially comfortable since a staff member grilled all the meat for us, and the quality of the meat was excellent. Personally, I felt both the quality and the service were worth the price. However, I would rate it 4 out of 5, as some people might find the prices a bit high. If you’re not sensitive about the cost, though, it easily deserves a 5 out of 5.
Sea House
Address: 18 Gwangbok-ro, Jung-gu, Busan
Phone#: 82-51-245-1924
Parking: No separate parking lot. No Free Parking
I wouldn’t recommend Sea House to anyone who doesn’t like spicy food or can’t handle it. Personally, I don’t think it’s particularly outstanding, but it does offer something different. So if you’re looking to try something unique when you visit Busan, I’d suggest giving it a try.
Sea House
When I arrived at Sea House, I found it a bit shabby, and the location inside the market made it a little difficult to find.
The food looked very spicy, but the noodles were delicious. I also ordered udon, but personally, I preferred the noodles.
Summary: Personally, I don’t enjoy spicy food, so it wasn’t to my taste. However, I would recommend it to those who like unique flavors and seafood. I’d rate it 3 out of 5.
Waveon Coffee
Address: 286 Wave-on Coffee for Sunrise, Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan
Phone#: 82-51-727-1660
Parking: Free
As for Waveon Coffee, I found the drinks and desserts delicious, and the view was excellent.
Shall we take a quick look at a short video before reviewing the café?
Waveon Coffee
Summary: If you’ve visited Busan, I’d recommend stopping by Waveon Coffee at least once. The drinks and desserts were delicious, and the view was a wonderful bonus. It seemed especially popular with young couples. The downside is that it’s a bit far from Haeundae, so having a car is necessary. I’d rate it 4 out of 5.
HeunMaru
Address: 65 Dalmaji-gil 62beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan
Phone #: 82-51-743-4222
Parking: Free
If you look at the sushi restaurants near HeunMaru, most of them are empty, but HeunMaru is always crowded. There’s a reason for that. The staff were all kind, and the sashimi and other dishes were beautifully presented. As I ate, I understood why this restaurant was packed while the others nearby had hardly any customers.
HeunMaru
Summary: If you want to enjoy sashimi in Haeundae, I recommend HeunMaru. The service and taste were excellent and very satisfying. However, it was a bit disappointing that some menu items were unavailable that day and need to be booked a few days in advance. I’d rate it 4 out of 5.
Park Hyatt Pusan Dining Room
Address: 51 Park Hyatt Busan 32nd Floor, Marine City 1-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan
Phone#: 82-51-990-1300
Parking: Free
Shall we start the review by watching a short video?
The Park Hyatt Busan Dining Room offers the best view in Haeundae. Some people even choose to stay at the Park Hyatt just for the view of Gwangan Bridge. Many visitors come to the dining room in the evening to enjoy the night view, but if you want a table with a Gwangan Bridge view, reservations are often fully booked—even on weekdays—and you may need to reserve several days in advance, even during the off-season.
I tried visiting for breakfast. Breakfast doesn’t require a reservation, as it’s first-come, first-served. If you really want to enjoy the Gwangan Bridge view, I recommend going for breakfast and arriving early, when it’s less crowded. The breakfast was buffet-style, though the selection was limited and the food tasted average.
Regarding parking, you can use the hotel’s basement parking lot. Guests who have breakfast in the dining room don’t need to pay for parking. There’s a parking gate, but it opens automatically when you leave.
Park Hyatt Pusan Dining Room
When parking, you need to go through the lobby instead of taking an elevator directly from the parking lot to the restaurant, which was a bit inconvenient.
The view of Gwangan Bridge is stunning. Seeing it in the morning as you wake up is beautiful, and the evening view is equally spectacular. You can also enjoy a view of the yachts.
I started by ordering a drink and taking what I wanted from the buffet. While you can order individual dishes at your table, note that ordering a steak from the a la carte menu comes with an additional charge.
Summary: Even if you’re not staying at the Park Hyatt Busan, I recommend visiting the dining room. The view of Gwangan Bridge and the yachts is truly stunning. However, the breakfast buffet was just okay—not exceptional. I’d rate it 4 out of 5.
Haeundae Gaya Wheat Noodles
Address: 27 Jwaedong Circulation Road, Haeundae-gu, Busan
Phone#: 82-507-1404-9404
Parking: Free
One must-try food in Busan is wheat noodles. There are many great wheat noodle restaurants in the city, and I particularly enjoyed Haeundae Gaya Wheat Noodles.
Haeundae Gaya Wheat Noodles
I ordered the wheat noodles and dumplings, and both were really good. The wheat noodles have a different texture compared to cold noodles, and the dumplings were chewy, unlike regular dumplings.
Summary: The wheat noodles and dumplings at Haeundae Gaya Wheat Noodles were flawless and absolutely delicious. I’d rate them 5 out of 5.
Haeundae Beef Ribs House
Address: 32-10 Jungdong 2-ro 10-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan
Phone#: 82-51-746-0033
Parking: Free
If you want to eat galbi in Busan, many people recommend either Geodae Galbi or Haeundae Beef Ribs House. Both are similarly priced, but they cater to different experiences. Geodae Galbi focuses more on luxury and service, while Haeundae Beef Ribs House offers a more casual, approachable atmosphere. The taste also differs, so personal preference will likely determine which restaurant you enjoy more.
At Haeundae Beef Ribs House, you can only order raw ribs if you make a reservation in advance, so be sure to book a few days ahead if that’s what you want to try.
Haeundae Beef Ribs House
When I arrived, the place gave me a countryside vibe.
Each person gets their own food tray, and everything seemed very clean.
You have to cook the meat yourself, rather than having a server do it.
Personally, I didn’t enjoy the potato sari.
Summary: It felt like I was grilling meat in an old country house. The meat was delicious, but I don’t think the potato sari is very healthy, and personally, I didn’t find it very tasty. I’d rate this experience 4 out of 5.
Have a great day.
